Killer heels? I think they should name it heels’ killer instead. I was dying in my heels…

Super random topics and quick ones.

Xiuwei’s belated birthday celebrations on 24th May, was also my first time at Botanical Gardens. I didn’t know it was located at Orchard. Haha, not Singaporean, I know.

Daddy’s birthday was yesterday, Mummy cooked old school party finger food. Chicken was bloody though, I don’t like. I bought some packed durians for Daddy because I don’t know how to select the normal ones (and hard to carry home on bus).

Pushcart reponse at TP slow but steady. I emphasize slow… My jewelry sold better than my clothes…

My pushcart was infested with ants, but I manage to swop with another guy, who wanted my bigger cart because he has more things. Teeheehee.

Actually, there are not much stock left, most are last or last two pieces.

Lots of deadbeats these days, comment/e-mail to CONFIRM order, but no reply after invoice sent. Irresponsible. Tsk tsk tsk.

Derek’s ex-gf added me on MSN, i wonder why. Not interested to know why too, so I accepted and blocked it. Opps!

I received an SMS from a (basketball) friend at 7+am this morning, saying he dreamt of us kissing. -.- Erm, I don’t need to know that. He better not let his gf find out or he’s gonna get it. Wonder why guys thought of messaging such things to other girls.

I finally saw a dermatologist. She was recommended by my Mum’s friend, my auntie, and lots of other people. It’s located just across TP (Block 825, the shop with a long queue outside everyday. The recommended dermatologist is Dr. Ong.). The queue is mad. Mum queued at 10+am (while i tended my pushcart at TP), just for taking the queue number at 2pm (There were already people queuing before her). And we were told to go back 2 hours later, so we went back at 4.30pm (because morning patients were not done), only to wait till 5+pm to see the dermatologist. They only take in 40 people in the morning, and another 40 at night and those who didn’t get the queue number have to come again another day.

Ok, that’s all I remembered off hand. More when I remember and have more time. Okay, gotta prepare to go TP soon, meeting Desmond and maybe Charlotte for lunch before I set up my push cart.

You hear me complain no time, but still play Restuarant City. :P

You hear me complain no time, but still play Restaurant City. Hoho :P

No time!

As I’m typing this, I am sitting on the toilet bowl. I know erxin, but no time really. :)

Went for Siping’s graduation show and it was great! This talented girl is going to London for D&AD, super excited for her. I brought Ember to Shish Mahal and she loved it! Service was wonderful, the portions were generous and the lasi (some yohgurt drink) was lagi best. We’re going back there again next Saturday, for my treat to the people who helped me for my first collection.

Quick updates, yesterday flea.fly.flo.fun’s responses was only half of what I had at last month’s. Don’t know why the crowd sucks, but at least I didn’t make loss lah.

Monday – Friday, I’ll be having push cart at Temasek Polytechnic, 9-5pm, come look me up! Thanks to Charlotte dear and the help of her student Jane, I manage to get a space. Hope it turns out well.

Cannot write already, late for my Sunday morning basketball session. Hah. :) I always dua my friend, so today I try to make it. Next whole week most likely cannot play ball, so today try to sweat as much. Hahaha, not like it’s gonna help.

Should you stop just because you’re afraid of failing? But if you don’t try, how do you know that it won’t succeed in the end? I believe that kiasee is a true blue Singaporean culture. Haha!

Maybe it’s normal that people have natural defense systems in them. You avoid whatever you feel that might cause hurt to you. You see fire, you don’t shove your hands into the fireplace because you know you will get burnt. How do you know the outcome if you haven’t tried? You learn through your own experiences or even through experiences of other people.

However, I think for relationships… Its more than meets the eye, it involves many factors which cannot be predicted or controlled. The people in the relationship are all different too. You might have heard from others sharing relationship stories of similar situations as your own, but how you or other people react (plus unpredictable factors), will result in a different outcome.

Today, I think it’s okay for people to stop because they are afraid because they are really only human. Some people try; but give up halfway because the journey just seems too difficult. Some people hide, because it’s what makes them feel better. Some people fight till the end, but may not achieve the outcome they had expected. Some people fight and fight and fight and never say die; so when should they stop or should they ever? Some some people (lucky ones), fight till the end and tasted sweet success. I believe those who tasted success, are people who don’t walk alone.

I want to be the brave one, who keeps fighting because she believes. I can’t say for sure I know what will happen in the end, but at least I can say I’ve tried, and I’ve tried my best. But more than often, I believe its the support, love and strength of your loved ones that helps you to be brave and motivates you to fight on. Life is so much more meaningful when you walk the journey with people you love, people who love and believe in you. True great friends stay with you no matter what, true love fight with you no matter what.

To a better Life and happiness to all!

ameliorate

Posted on: May 18, 2009

Mathias used the word “ameliorate” and I was like… What the heck does that mean?

a⋅mel⋅io⋅rate
/əˈmilyəˌreɪt, əˈmiliə-/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [uh-meel-yuh-reyt, uh-mee-lee-uh-]
–verb (used with object), verb (used without object), -rat⋅ed, -rat⋅ing.
to make or become better, more bearable, or more satisfactory; improve; meliorate

The words he use sometimes quite bombastic. And yet this silly boy always spells “improve” as “improuve”. Haha.
