Melted

The head of the DC connector of my laptop charger, is burnt! The wire melted, and looks like it’s gonna break into half! Arghhh! It costs $148 for a new one, and my MacBook Pro is already 3 years old. Is it worth buying a new one?
Edit: I just called Apple Customer Service, spoke with Effendi (don’t know spelling), very polite. Referred me to product specialist (who is Australian), and… I got an exception case, and can have my charger replaced for FREE (my Apple care just expired last month).

Yet another Restuarant City update

I bought many new things! Now less than 100 bucks left. On and offline, I’m a spender. But that said, I didn’t shop a single bit for some time already. By shopping i mean buying clothes, accessories etc. Stuff for selling and food not counted ah.
Poor Mathias, have been stressed at school lately. So much going on. He has to be in school early for assisting the teacher, and has classes from 5.30 – 8.30pm. By the time he gets back, it would have been 9 or 9.30pm. But it’s great that he’s enjoying his work and studies. I think this boy will surely go far. Not I think, I know. SOO SOO/ JIAYOU MATHIAS! (I taught him 加油/jiayou and a few other Mandarin phrases too, and his tones are very accurate. Belle (Mat’s good friend) had commented a few times that my tone for Thai is very accurate (and she seems quite surprised because she was comparing me to angmohs). I think Mandarin is somehow quite similar to Thai! Lots of influences, very similar words with Cantonese, Hokkien etc. Very interesting.)

Laptop dying

My laptop restarted itself 4 times within half an hour. It’s insane! It’s the second day it had done this.
Just a month or two ago I sent it for repairs! I even paid $81+ to upgrade the RAM! And this is what it does to me! So ungrateful! It’s seriously quite underused. Photoshop, watch Gossip Girls and going online most of the time.
I’m going to do it Singaporean way: COMPLAIN!
